Day 13 - Monday, July 4th

This morning I had a buffet breakfast that was both Japanese and European style. For breakfast I had rice porridge, french toast. tofu, small sausage, fried fish and european coffee. We went to the University in Shizuoka today as we took the train to Shizuoka and a bus to the University. The University was small and had old style looking buildings. Also they were doing construction on the road by the University and we ended up talking to the construction worker who was directing traffic with flags. We then went back to Shizuoka train station and took a train to Shin-Osaka which took 2 hours and 20 minutes. At  this part of the trip I find myself more tired because of all the travel and early mornings.  Now I am getting tired of the food and eating the same things everyday as well as the scenery is getting boring as it all looks the same. We arrived in Osaka and took the local subway to near our hotel but the Osaka subway was difficult to take because there are not very many elevators to move our suitcases in and it was hot and humid. The hotel had a drink bar but the drinks tasted terrible. They also had a shampoo bar with different shampoo, conditioner and body wash to use. Our room was small with one double and one single bed , a T.V and air conditioning. Osaka is a dirty and boring city as the streets are filthy and there are not many exciting things to do.
